You know, that is something that really perplexes me! Over the coarse of the lawsuit we must have asked at least a half-dozen superior court and appellate court judges to stay the trial until our appeal was decided all the while pointing out the dire consequences of ignoring the law. And not a one of them EVER attempted to justify not granting a stay; they would simply deny that we were entitled to one. As a scientist, that never sat well with me and that's one of the motivations for our book - to put it out there for the public to evaluate. You know, we the people.
