No. Giving control to the UN gives the Iraqis a chance to avoid civil war -- the longer we maintain political and economic control of Iraq, the greater the chances of civil and regional war. We should NEVER have taken economic and political control. The damage is done. The risks are there. Moving forward does not mean engaging in wishful thinking -- children are not going to be flying kites in the streets.
