We got raw sewage spilling into the ocean, we got trash and broken beer bottles and used condoms and syringes in the surf and on the beach, not to mention old tires and pieces of buidling materials, fat old men in tiny speedos, people changing the oil in their cars and trucks right in the parking lots at the beach, etc...etc...etc

...you had me right up to the fat old men in speedos part...I forget, tell us again how this hurts the environment???LOLOL

Jane, You owe Lake Erie an apology - it is alive and doing well - it has really changed - not perfect yet but a great recreation source. It seems to be like the problems you describe on the beach have a lot more to do with the low life characters of the residents of your area - not national government.

Bushies love pollution. They actually fight FOR it. Time after time after time. No wonder since the pollution lbby is one of Bush's biggest contributors. Lesson being, never let Texans and the oil-chemical industry run this country. They also gouge, cheat and steal.

Lake Erie is a clean lake, where are you getting your information? Apparently from some anti Bush propaganda literature... please know the facts... your local county is responsible for cleaning up you beach, I live in Fort Lauderdale, and our beach is immaculate and beautiful, and our waters are pristine and tropical...
