How? $2k is the limit per person. The only way I see a person can donate more, is if they open up a non-profit like moveon.org. On another note, can a person donate more than $2k to moveon.org, since it's not directly the Democratic Party? RE: "Kerry's behind Bush by a hundred million dollars." It's truly disgusting that it now takes more than $100M to drive a campaign. Wasn't it only a few years ago, a person could run a campaign on $20M? Our country's debt has increased two fold in 3 years, while the total debt levels have grown 7 times. Money is cheap, when you are a country in debt. RE: "I'm afraid Kerry's house in Boston isn't worth that much. <g>" Know you're aren't saying this, but some people try to make a big deal about the fact he is married to someone that has money. Big deal. You can find wealthier people at Microsoft. A lot of us thought it was really unfair how the media attacked his wife for looking bored at his speaches, when in fact she was simply being thoughtful. She comes across as an intelligent person. But the one thing I find unusual about Kerry, is how he targeted women that had brandname. If you look at the list of women he dated, they all had brandname. It's an interesting coincidence. It makes him look like he was shopping for something in particular. It makes me question the depth of his character and his level of substance. He comes across as a sponge to me. Absorbs other people's ideas, but doesn't hold his own strong convictions. OTOH, maybe that's not such a bad thing for a politician whose job is to represent the people. If the AP poll is correct, Nadar is going to cost us yet another election. I'm finding it hard to respect Nadar's decision to enter the race. Everyone has a right to enter the race, but Nadar is missing the bigger picture. Regards, Amy J
