Watergate watershed is one of the worst things that has happened to the electoral process in this country. What did it have to do with the electoral process? Other than his boys tried to burgle the DNC offices (although it was never proven Nixon had prior knowledge). Nixon DID try to use the IRS to get his political enemies. That is an unacceptable perversion of the way US gov't administrations should work. THAT'S the sort of thing PRI did in Mexico. It's an import we can do well without.
