Housework, Cleaning & Ironing: I simply cannot imagine doing housework ever again. I have a great maid and a gardener/odd job man that do everything for me that I don't want to do and on average it costs me about US$40 per week ... 9. Breathtaking Views: I am now so accustomed to seeing spectacular views that I always add an extra 25% on top of the 'normal' travelling time so I can always stop for a few minutes and take another photograph of yet another 'You gotta' see this!' view. Costa Rica is often called the 'Little Switzerland' of Central America and it it's not because of the snow, it's because of the gorgeous views... 8. The 'Perfect' Weather: In my humble opinion, the weather where in the Central Valley is the most perfect and comfortable weather for the human body. No air-conditioning or heating is required at any time of the year and not only does that make like comfortable, it makes it cheap! 7. Healthcare Quality & Affordability: The quality and cost of healthcare in Costa Rica is amazing! Many of the Doctors & Surgeons I know received their training in the best medical schools in the US. They use 'state of the art' equipment yet their overall healthcare costs are about 50% of what you would be accustomed to in the 'developed' world. And to top it off, the attitude is so much more caring, their first thought is 'How can I help you get better?' and not 'How much money can I make out of this schmuck?' 6. Another Amazing Discovery Courtesy of Mother Nature: Every time I spot a new species of bird, a bird of prey hovering over a field looking for it's breakfast or find a new weird and wonderful insect, it reminds me how lucky I am to be alive.... In Costa Rica. 5. The People: I have lived in ten different countries (although not in any other Central or Latin American country), I think the Costa Rican people are amongst the nicest, caring and most sincere people I have ever come across. In my personal experience, the people here genuinely want to help. The waitress genuinely and sincerely wants to make sure you enjoy your time in the restaurant. She's not even thinking about the tip in comparison with other more 'civilized' countries where all they seem to care about is money, that fake smile is there because they're looking for a big tip. 4. Freedom, Privacy & No Income Taxes: I have never felt more free and I feel as if I am allowed to live my life in the way that I want without being watched, monitored or cold called... Since I am British and earn 99% of my income from outside of Costa Rica, the only taxes I pay inside Costa Rica are taxes on the sale of my investment book 'Costa Rica's Guide To Making Money Offshore' ... 3. Simply Stunning! The 'Ticas' (Costa Rican women) are probably the sexiest, most attractive women I have ever come across. (Hey! I'm not married, I'm allowed to talk about these things...) 2. Rainy Afternoons: Making love when it's raining heavily outside during the 'green' season is oh! So wonderful but, just once I want to be making love when there's an earthquake tremor so at least I can actually say with a straight face; "Did the earth move for you sweetheart?' 1. Parrots Soaring Overhead: The thrill that I never seem to get tired of when I see a flock of colourful parrots flying over my home. Hearing them chattering and screeching to each other as they fly off into yet another gorgeous blue, sunny sky....
