On hot summer days in NYC, the parents would open up the fire hydrants so the kids could get some relief. It was a huge waste of water. The cops would come by and shut them off as quickly as quickly as they could and then the parents would come back out and so on. Then one day the government realized that they had to give these kids some relief so they devised sprinkler heads to be attached to the hydrants. Solved the problem. The Bush admin should have used this method to moderate the deficit they needed to create. There is very little room now as technology and productivity have made job creation more difficult or at least created far more lag time than ever before. What i was suggesting though given the reality is for bush to match the demOgogues tit for tat. The dems become anti-indian and chinese racists by playing the blame game and bush counters by proposing something attractive that can never be enacted. Which do you think will be more effective in the long run? Or should bush just sit idly by and watch the job numbers continue to disappoint while the dems continue to rant. I am playing the role of dick morris here and am interested in all comments. Mike
