Since most folks do not know what garbage taste like, I suspect the taste of Chinese-raised American crawfish may fall under the issue of French escargot (much of it imported from Asia) vs Russian caviar (some out of Iran), or Kraft American vs Germanic herbal brie. I mean, if the crawfish or snails or cheese burgers are so bad, folks should stop buying so much of it, so as to force improvement on the exporters, which I suspect can be achieved, but for the fact that the stuff sells because folks like them, and so one might justifiably suspect that all the whinning in the newspapers are just another nervous indication of protectionism, which BTW is very much of interest to me, in all its manifestations. There are now even signs of reverse protectionism, with Message 19875867 and Message 19863245 as examples from opposite sides of the pond. What fun. But, as I mentioned, I do not know the taste of crawfish of any jurisdiction. I have seen them on buffet tables even in HK, looking for all the world like very large cockroaches spliced with small lobster claws, and so have always aggregated near the tray of lobsters instead ;0) <<Hope you are well>> Thank you and that I am. I believe 2004 will turn out to be a brilliant year, but I cannot be sure until say October/November time frame. There are lots of initiatives on my side, and they all hold great promise. How is that for optimism :0) <<Just thought I'd pass this along>> ... Thank you, and given that it has been sometime since we last posted back and forth on the issue of bigger booms, larger busts, depressions and elections, do you have a take on the coming November election and the tentative conclusions on what causes depressions Message 19860720 Chugs, Jay
