With all respect to my good friends X and Dale, who I greatly admire, I do not believe the US will allow the outsourcing trend to go on without interruption, if it continues to greatly impact people here. It is not a all or nothing game. We could "freeze" in place current outsourcing contracts, and make additional ones very expensive for companies here. We could also give tax credits - say $ 30,000 for US companies that cancel current outsourcing contracts and rehire unemployed IT and engineering service workers.
