I not so sure that the only outcome of disinflation is deflation. Why, assuming economic conditions not like the current environment, would inflation not be a real possibility?

As I stated, disinflation is probably a short cycle in the game, as the pressure builds and we end up with deflation, or inflation. Either could be possible.
