Ted, RE: " he took out a second mortgage on his house last month to keep his campaign going."

Ouch.

RE: "she's eastern old money. Often, there is very little money left with those people.....its been divided and divided over and over again decade after decade."

In her case, she actually does have money leftover. Think around $100M. But yes, there are some brandname people running around with no money. There's one guy I know who has a very popular brandname (you would know his name.) He doesn't really have a substantial amount of money. He appears stressed to financially support the image of his name too. People automatically think brandnames are wealthy, but usually they aren't and they can be under a lot of pressure to spend since people have unusual expectations of them.

RE: " If you look at the list of women he dated, they all had brandname. It's an interesting coincidence. Are you suggesting he's a moneygrubber?"

No, given his dating track record, he seems more like a brandgrubber, not a money grubber.

RE: "I believe it takes someone of substantive character to come back from a war in which you fought bravely and conclude that the war was a mistake and fight to end it."

Agreed. This is very true.
