9-11 didn't make anything black and white, that's the big mistake. Yes, those Al Qaida terrorists need to be hunted down and killed or captured, and though we let OBL and Zawahiri (sp?) get away many of them have been caught, mostly with the help of the Pakistanis and other third world nations, but this terrorist attack does not mean that you turn America into a one-dimensional unilateral avenger.

In fact, our allies and quasi-allies probably have more capacity to catch Al Qaida than we do since over in that part of the world we stick out like sore thumbs and are strangers in a strange land. Bush started doing things right with Afghanistan then changed and became alienating to almost all allies. It was strange and disturbing. Everything was working so well up until the point where Bushies decided it was mandatory to invade Iraq ASAP and put all our resources there. Why? Was it just the oil?
