Yes, jttmab. I have the same impression, which is that the more US troops -- what is it up to now, 11,000? -- that are air-flighted back with injuries serious enough to require US medical treatment -- is even BETTER cause for "good news."

As long as it's not covered by the US corporate media. Which is explicitly VERBOTTEN by the WH, correct? No media representatives are "permitted" on the Air Force base to photograph incoming dead and wounded.

Like, "it's all under control and it's so effing GOOD for the Iraqi peepul."

No. But Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld's decision to fight the war on terrorism in Iraq instead of in St. Louis, Chicago, Columbus, and Lansing gets my vote.
