When/if PPI is released one might consider being long a gold or two. Does anyone have a favorite large cap?

I am already long gold.
Got in yesterday. Futures, calls and a little WHT.
The big cap non-volatile play is NEM. I like WHT BGO GSS NEM GFI EGO.

You have it 100% ass backwards IMO.
A published spike in the PPI (that we all know is there) would cause treasuries to fall, the US$ to rise, and gold to sell off. A cut in the Euro would do the same thing: US$ rise, gold falls, treasury yields rise.

After today how can it NOT be clear?
Gold RISES with Treasuries and a falling $.
