You should know me well enough to know by now that my mind can turn a hangnail into a life threatening injury, so I won't take this too casually. I go back in two weeks to have it checked. I don't have what you had, nothing so serious. This is innocent UNLESS it gets worse --a slight posterior vitreous detachment (PVD). He said that if there are going to be problems they will occur within 4-6 weeks, and that I would know if it did by the lights and increased floaters.
I HATE these floaters!! I especially hate the gauzy quality ones. I keep cleaning my glasses. ONe in particular that I call Harold is a large shadow that passes across my vision when I move my head quickly. I see him when I glance in the rear view mirror and think something is attacking me from the back seat. He's like my Dark Man nightmare.
My mother-in-law said when she went in with her floaters, the doctor's advice was, "Just don't look at them."

I LOL at your last penultimate paragraph by the way.
