ARE YOU ARE CHEESE EATING SURRENDER MONKEY?

ep,

For God'd sakes man, don't you know anything about history? Christ sakes, your post sounds like the result of a criminally negligent educational system.

Re: WSJ has been running both pro & con on Patriot Act. These laws were passed in haste

What side of the moronosphere do you live on? The USA PATRIOT Act is a compendium of sleazy alterations to our code of liberties that the totalitarians had been trying to slip into the Federal Register since an addled amnesiac with the stage name of Ronald Reagan slippered into office in 1981. How naive are you? There was no god-damn haste involved. To the contrary, there was a whole lot of connivance coming to fruition. And none of it to the benefit of the citizens of the country.

Re: and fix government and jurisdictional issues which had not been addressed for years.

Nonsense. There was plenty of leeway in the prior authority for search and seizure to deal with new technologies like email and cell phone conversations.

You are not only drinking the official "koolaid", son.... you are smoking their dope. And I do mean dope.

Re: This needs to be carefully reviewed, modified and replaced,

Dorothy Parker was much more astute than you. When she was presented with an odious, despicable and fatuous tome of comparable merit to the USA PATRIOT Act to review she quipped,

"This (thing) should not be set lightly aside, but hurled, with great force."
