Laz, Ken Starr? Think about the dirt that could be dug up on you, me, anyone if the investigator is given unlimited time and budgetary resources? I am vehemently opposed to special prosecutors, and Ken Starr, AKA "The Prim Reaper," is a prime example of the pitfalls of relying on special prosecutors and giving them free rein.

I agree with you re Nixon's use of federal bureaus to combat or harass his "enemies" but, again, he was not the first or the last. And while we are at it, shall we discuss J. Edgar Hoover? - Holly
