Let me tell you something about Libya. That country has not been a threat to us in 15 years or so. The Lt. Colonel whose articles I posted states that when working in the Pentagon under Rumsfeld-Cheney she submitted intel reports stating that Libya was benign and wanted to play ball, but the Cheney group doctored the report to make it look like Libya was still an ememy and threat to us. Why? Kaddafi has been turning into a moderate for more than a decade. He and the Texas oil companies are now making big sweetheart deals with the help of the White house. Maybe he has some dangerous arms to hand over, but he was not going to use them against us anyway. I mean, sure it's great to take any WMD's out of the third world no matter where they coem from, but the GOP hype on Libya has not been accurate. Like Iraq, the Libya deal just smells of oil. I'd like to see Bushies disarm someone who doesn't have tons of oil with which to enrich its campaign contributors.
