Qualifying performances: 1. M. Schumacher... Once again, Michael shows he is still in wining form by nudging his teamate by .074 second 2. R. Barichello... as usual a relianbe team mate --when will his time come ? who knows.... still second best time 3. JP Montoya, After puting best time in the early qualifying session a small error puts him in third fro the start -second row. 4. J. Button. Surprising performance, if they keep it up, Jenson might see his maiden GP win soon. 5. F. Alonso. The team acknowedges they were "conservative" in their approach... whatever.... Alonso can improve. 6. M. Webber. Surprising performance by Mark... can this be the year of the break ? 7. T. Sato mixed ? surprise, but then again.... why not beat Jenson ? 8. R. Schumacher Surprising disapointment... the concentration does not sem to be at Williams. 9. J. Trulli diapointing showing... it seems to be the team in general and not Jarno in particular. 10. K. Raikkonen a disaster for team McLaren, they need to improve... I woner if JP Montoya is having second thoughts.... 11. F. Massa Felipe has the potential to be a star, Sauber is not the way to show it... 12. D. Coulthard well... a continuation and worsening of last year ? This year is make or break for David... 13. C. da Matta A surprising disapointmnent... Toyota needs to improve greatly... 14. G. Fischicella... oh well.. Giancarlo seems to be going from bad to worse.... Sauber needs to improve lots... 15. N. Heifeld... So much promise for Nick and ending up with this Jordan Team... he is running out of time.... 16. G. Pantano Debut for Giorgio.... conservative and lacking performance by Pantano. 17. Baumgartner. Zolts seems to fit Minardi.... is that all he has ? soon we will see. 18. O. Panis... non starter mechanical failure. 19. C. Klien... non starter mechanical failure. 20. GM Bruni... non starter meachanical failure.
