Enron gave more to Bush+Cheney than any company has ever given to any politician in US history. In return, Bush-Cheney helped them gouge with their phony energy crisis in 1999-2000 by refusing to sic FERC on them, and let Enron help write energy policy. Ken Lay was Bush's choice for Secretary Of Treasury but Kenny Boy turned it down. The White House was full of Enron influence. Ed Gillespie the head of the RNC was Enron's top lobbyist PR specialist.
