Boy, howdy, is it. I work tonight, so I was going to do a little work on the road (more coming), but, I walked out to the garden, and looked at the half bed of peas we planted in a sporadic weak drizzle yesterday, and at the half bed waiting to plant in greens, and the tater spot, and an almost, at that moment, clear sky, and started digging. Maybe fava beans.
I can always do my little bit on the road on the way out to work. I'm waiting for a load of gravel coming Feb 18th, or Thursday, but for sure yesterday, so maybe Monday if it doesn't rain, jaja...you either adapt to mountain time or go crazy. In the meantime, I'm filling the worst spots, because I have this long running game with the rain gods and Sir Issac Newton, where-in the rain gods loosen up chunks and Sir Issac carries them to a little delta, and I schlep it back to the more or less starting point. Over 18 years, I'm ahead. Over one winter, I trail.
But, being home team, I bat last.
