Who's talking about socialism? Socialism has to do with collective ownership of means of production. Just because a program or effort has the word "Social" in it, doesn't mean it's socialism. For example, Spring Social does not mean Socialism coming to you after winter. What's wrong with fighting poverty? Should we be encouraging poverty? What would that accomplish for us? Just because one method decades ago didn't work, why shouldn't we continue to try other methods until something does work? Don't give up so easily! Man did not send a camera to Mars by giving up!
