There are no monsters under your bed, no WMD in Iraq, and no matter how popular Bin Laden becomes, he won't be landing an army on the coast of Texas, and converting the natives to Islam at sword-point. Enough already, with the fearful fantasies.

I wish you wouldn't say things like this Jacob. It makes me think that your faith in the Golden Rule is founded on the vast distances between you and OBL rather than principle.

If that's the case I'll have to lump you in with my ancient isolationist buddies... and outside of a few valleys in the Idaho/Oregon region, I don't think they get much action. <vbg>

...And speaking of "isolation," when do you plan on taking this GR message to the heathen terrorists? <Hoo><Haa>

I'm not making any promises, but maybe, if you'd show us a little progress on that front, you might get a few of us Five Percenters to jump ship and come over to your side.

...And I'd think twice about eliminating my fears if I were you. I doubt you'd cotton to life with a fearless raptor in your midst. Fear is just about the only thing keeping me in check at this point.

On US Agression:
We have always been too late to go to war, and our friends have suffered greatly because of that.

WW1 Way late and unprepared

WW2 Way late and unprepared

Viet Nam. Late again- the French fought there for 20 years before we showed up

Desert Storm- Late again-Saddam had already invaded Kuwait but we were much better prepared than usual.

Iraq 11 : Late again (will we never learn) Because we or the UN should have taken some useful corrective action instead of writing endless Resolutions for 12 years. That could have saved hundreds of thousands of deaths and a lot of torture among our new friends in Iraq.

So this preemtive attitude is all new to us -have not even tried it yet. Even that fool OBL sneaked in under our surveillance and hit first.

But it is very useful attitude or posture -a deterrent if there can be such a thing- may even be implemented some day
