Not having experienced the Dissomaster personally I can't really comment, but it was inexpensive.

This divorce involved a seventeen year marriage with three children and more than $6 million in net assets. The total cost was about $6k - $1k each for attorney's fees and an additional $4k for real estate appraisals. For less than 0.1% of their assets the marriage was dissolved in five months time with one deposition and no court hearings. The results sounded fair to me.

Even in this case, the wife's attorney filed a listing of outlandish needs for support - maybe it made her feel better. I don't understand what other purpose the filing could have served, as the Dissomaster program did not take any of these claims into account. I can only guess this is an archaic hold-over from a previous era, or perhaps it might be used in the unlikely event the Judge questions the results of the program.

Apparently the law firm which produces the software works for the Family Court of California and reflects each aspect of California divorce law.
