The people of Iraq do not think like Westerners. Of course we think that all people, regardless of gender, color or religion should be treated equally. However, the Middle east is maybe decades away from accepting all those premises. I know a gal that is Jordanian and was educated at a medical school in Baghdad. SHe is an MD., yet she chooses to wear the traditional veil on her head and submits to her husband on many issues...........it's her choice so who am I to tell her she is wrong???? Let those people be free in their own way and forget that they have to fashion their society after the West. We have no business telling the whole world they have to be like us. We ruined their country so we should help them rebuild it in ways of their choice. They get the hell out of there. We shouldn't have been there in the first place. We need to do nation building in the inner cities of the US and we haven't been successful HERE..........how in hell can we acheive success in a foreign culture?
