The Chutzpah of John Kerry

Based on Kerry’s voting record, Kerry is either the most conflicted man in national politics or a he’s a practicing schizophrenic. He can call it nuanced thinking, but it’s a little scary to think this man could be president and more fickle and vacillating than Carter was. He’s been shown to be the most liberal member of Congress for many years (see the National Journal), yet he doesn’t like labels (and the press doesn't label him) unless they are the ones he tags on extremist Republicans. He believes his four months of service in Vietnam entitles him to escape any concern over voting against all weapons systems we are using today in the war. He voted against the money needed to support the troops in Iraq, yet just yesterday said the troops were inadequately funded. He added that he as president would never deploy the troops unless they were at low risk because of the equipment they had. Several days before he castigated the president for not having caught bin Laden at Tora Bora. I guess that could have been done at low risk. One thing is clear: the mainstream media will give Kerry a free ride on his doublespeak. Let’s hope that most Americans are paying enough attention to realize that a nation at war cannot risk its security to the likes of a political opportunist like Kerry.
