re: Sure, just as Kerry is trying to use Nam.

Changing the subject won't help. Face up, it's a sleazy, cheap play on people's emotions, at the expense of the victims. The lowest form of marketing.

You will note, you highlighted my statement about Kerry, "Sure, just as Kerry is trying to use Nam." with "Changing the subject won't help. Face up, it's a sleazy, cheap play on people's emotions, at the expense of the victims. The lowest form of marketing." To which I agreed. Just where in there did you mention Gw. The Bush ads weren't cheap, probably quite expensive in fact, and were quite nicely done. Kerry's on the other hand, fit that description perfectly.

Frankly, I don't think he is.

Really! You do know, Kerry took part in a ritual, where all of the veterans who felt ashamed of their medals, threw them over the fence. If Kerry is so ashamed of what he did in Nam,that he pretended to throw his over the fence, why is he now bragging about it, except for playing on peoples emotions, and getting votes.

That was the reality for combat soldiers that were at the front.

That is true, it was the reality for some soldiers, Kerry included. So why did he make it out like they were baby killers, when there was no way to avoid some civilian casualties. His commanders designated some zones as free fire zones, not to kill civilians, but to protect the soldiers.

I know a lot worse happened, Kerry was a gentlemen compared to many of our soldiers

Possibly, there were worse, war is hell. However there is noting gentlemanly about war, and Kerry's conduct. Gentlemen don't smear everyone with a broad brush, for things he himself did, and blame everyone else, for his actions.
