My son was a consultant in networking but switched to IT project management because they don't send those jobs offshore..........hope he was right. Seems to be so far. He move to Texas but is doing well there.

Your solution seems fair to me. Companies make tons of money here so why shouldn't they pay for the privilege. Maybe those golden parachutes could be tightened up also.

One of the Kennedy boys said that the trouble with all this current day corporate "offshoring" is that companies aren't made to look at the long term effects they have....even on themselves. The management is only concerned with the bottom line while they are in power. IF they get the profitability up, they get their bug bonuses and live happily ever after. Meanwhile, thousands of people are jobless here.

If people don't work they don't spend and the cycle spirals downward. Ultimately, more people have less money to spend so more people lose their jobs due to less circulating capital.

It's a vicious cycle that Democrats seem to manage better then the GOP. Probably because the Unions are one of the supporters in their base.
