YOu are being suckered into American propaganda and wondering why the European nations not with Bush on Libya? The Libyan problem was solved by the European nations not by Bush. And the reason they are saying "up yours" to Bush becuase he is claiming credit for it. The French, Germans and the Russians military are ready to march into Libya if Gadaffi does not comply. The US military is already over committed.

So that is why those nations are giving a finger to Bush. Let us wait and see what the team that Kerry is sending to Iraq finds out. We have had enough of the Bush propaganda machine.

If there a winner in this thing it is Gadaffi. He has the option to either go with the US-UK bloc or the European bloc. He is trying to extract the maximum benefit from these two bloc. Bush is buying out Gadaffi. It has nothing to do with the US military threat. If Bush claims Gadaffi is doing so becuase of the military threat, then the Europenas also have that threat looming over Gadaffi and they are in a likely position to carry that threat out than the US-UK. Here is a link where you have to read between the lines.

...Meanwhile, European Commission President Romano Prodi said Friday the trading bloc was ready to work more closely with Libya and welcome the country "through the main door."

Prodi said we would now be willing "to receive Colonel Gadhafi in Brussels to seal this process officially as early as possible."

Prodi said that he invited Libya to join the political and economic partnership the EU has with a dozen Mediterranean nations.
