No, it's not a dishonest attack.

Unless your definition of honesty is "it's honest if everybody else does it." Which, if that's your definition of honesty, I can see why you think Kerry is honest. By that standard, so is Bush, so is Ashcroft, so is Rhenquist, etc.

I thought you distinguished between honesty as it pertained to Kerry and honesty as it pertained to Bush. I thought you thought that Kerry was honest in a way not all politicians are honest. If I'm wrong, okay.

But if I'm right, then it's fair to judge him not by the standard of "this is what everybody does" but by the standard of "is this basically honest behavior?"

And by that standard, IMO, taking a big salary for a job you aren't doing isn't honest.

But that's just maybe because I have a higher standard of honesty than you do.
