I loved both Diamond Age and Cryptonomicon as well. The latter was my big black book I carried everywhere with what I can only call the closest I have ever been to religious devotion :-)

I have Stephenson's newest book - Quicksilver - and I started it but it is proving to be a bit more difficult to get into than the others, possibly because the story takes place in the early days of America. First days of MIT, etc. No cyberpunk yet, but I have not yet lost hope, just waiting for a couple of hours of peace to restart the book...
