What the heck do they think he would have done, sent Osama a dozen roses? He would have "criminalized" the action. Treated it as a "Pancho Villa" event. If we had invaded Afghanistan at all, it would have been with 50,000 conventional troops, in a very slow action. Gore is now turning out to be much more Liberal than anyone knew then.. All that sounds good to me. I rather like the stories about our Brave Soldiers and Pancho Villa. But what if...What if... Gore were President and he allowed Blix or Kay or ElBaradae continue the weapons inspections? What if he failed to invade and occupy Iraq. What if he calmly told the world that sanctions and inspections had worked? GadZooks. What a calamity. What would Greenspan have done with the Peace Dividend? Oh, and another thing. What if Gore were President and Quickly set up and cooperated with the 911 Commission? Wow, we might know what happened by now. Somehow, I imagine, when Gore made his tax cuts the child credit for the poor would not have been left off the Bill. President Gore may have handled the FBI differently. I would imagine that President Gore, having invented the internet, would have made Intelligence Interface Priority One. You know, wireless interconnectivity for FBI,State, CIA, FCC. Maybe President Gore would have gotten the Pentagon to opine on Global Warming sooner. And I wonder what President Gore would have done about the California energy crisis caused by Enron, et al. Cheeze, Gray Davis could still be Governor! Well thank Goodness, your worst dreams did not come true.Thank Goodness Bush was selected!
