Sun Micro slides on heavy vol. amid market share losses By Tomi Kilgore

NEW YORK (CBS.MW) - Shares of Sun Microsystems (SUNW: news, chart, profile) fell 20 cents, or 4.2 percent, to a 2-month low of $4.60 on greater-than-average volume after a Goldman Sachs survey of chief investment officers' plans for information technology spending indicated that the computer hardware maker was losing market share in both the enterprise server and systems market and the storage provider market. Volume was 59.5 million shares, vs. the full-day average of about 51.2 million. The stock has now lost 22 percent since reaching an 11-month high of $5.93 in intraday trading on Feb. 12.
