John, I thought all the soccer moms love their Hummers and Tahoes for their superior off-roading abilities. The ripple effect of petro prices is enormous. Auto, Travel, Commerce, etc. all will be affected, and the individual will have to foot the extra expense. And to top it off, my township thought nothing of raising property taxes 7% last year. If housing numbers deteriorate, employment numbers don't improve, we'll have a perfect storm for a really worse economy.
