That is more or less a myth. What part? That the tax shelters exist? - estate plans that can effectively avoid death tax have been on the tax roles for years - all it takes is a good lawyer. Even when taxes are paid - its only to place money in a trust at the death of the original earner - successive generations get a free ride. That the eastern establishment is liberal? Really you dispute this? Its kind of on record as a blue state/red state thing. John
