Paul,
I wood worry if it was Sinclair. but Ol Howdy doody came up with the worst stock picks I can ever remember. Greenstone, Alta gold, TVX, Williams resources, and the one in Wa. State that may never get approved. In fact he had more picks than anybody that went to zero. Others here no doubt remember more.

THIS GUY IS A TRUE CONTRARIAN INDICATOR.

Now get this, I used to talk to the guy and would fax him and was a subscriber. He did not like Newmont that much a triple. Was weak on Hecla a 7 bagger from back then. Liked PAAS a bit. Did not like CDE a 8-10 bagger. Get the picture?

With more of his article like this and his former picks make me wonder just who he does represent. Certainly not gold investors.
Tom

Fwiw you can plink around in Puplava and find someone's EW of the XAU. Not totally sure who it is put out by.

According to them XAU is in a 5 wave down series. It goes a bit higher here maybe, then starts another leg down, the 3rd leg of this series.

I tell you, I am inclined to believe that one way to feel safe is to continue to look for this negative stuff, whether it be things like this, or doom predictions on the various boards. When you quit seeing it, look out.

Puplava also has some Sharefin charts that appear to be new (I don't subscribe to Sharefin, maybe I will re-evaluate).

I would be inclined to say that Sharefin's swing chart would indicate we are on the last leg down of his swing cycle, which would appear to be 5 waver. The swing has made 3 waves, is on a 5th here, so it appears. It would also indicate to me the primary danger is maybe past us, with the possibility still open to a decent but brief hit.

Sharefin's index from an EW perspective counts fairly clean, compared to the HUI or XAU. It would seem to be in a clear 4 of 5 waves up for this run, that began last year. Sharefin's run up did not start until
July. I have the HUI in a 4 of 5 for this run as well, but not by straight forward counting.
