"The envy that statement expresses is why it was so easy to sell inheritance taxes. "Soak the rich!." " just as easy to make them republicans but that is not my point at all. And to your other point--if income taxes rise i may also have to liquidate something--same with property taxes too. Velocity of money is more important and i think low taxes elsewhere are more important than dead men investing. I am looking for productive tax system that promotes growth. I do not see the elim of estate tax in that light. mike
