My engine is in great shape now, but I have some serious suspension problems. I had a '78 I sold and I have been fixing up a '79 I bought not running. It has a body-lift to make room for the over-sized tires, but it was a shade tree job and everything is welded in place. It would be hell to undo. After the engine overhaul, I was driving back home and every time I hit a dip in the road the vehicle would start rocking side to side real bad. I was afraid the damn thing was going to turn over before I got it home. I had planed to put a convertible top on it, but there's no way I'm going to take the hardtop off before I fix the suspension.
