this is an interesting time to be an investor and i am very intrigued by the whole situation. i believe we are at an inflection point for technology companies. we are going from a client server environment to a networked world. who is going to lead us in this direction. from the post on this thread everyone has a different opinion. my bets are with companies that are strong in the hardware, software and servicing of that sector. i believe sunw will have a place in that market on the hardware side with ibm.

on the software side it is all about if oracle can execute on their business model. if oracle has weak earning thursday the naz will crash. if they are strong they will garner much attention and build momentum going forward.

sunw's business model is yet to prove out. will the java desktop and enterprise systems gain traction as a subscription service? time will tell.

imho, it really comes down to what hardware runs best on the most widely used software. in the long term, sunw and orcl are joined at the hip. thursday night should be interesting.
