Talk about being on both sides of a issue. He wants to claim leadership in the war against terror but when it comes to leadership in leading us nowhere for WMD he slips into being a follower of the intelligence community.

I ask, Mr. President, are you a leader or are you a follower. In your own words, you can't have it both ways!! And you have not even been in Washington as long as Kerry has and you have already built up that record. Amazing qualities :)

I agree, there is a certain amount of hypocracy hearing Bush raise 9/11 as being such an important part of his Presidency and why we need to reelect him. 9/11 did, after all, occur 9 months after he took office and 7 years after the Republicans took over the House. Republicans love to blame someone else for their shortcomings, but the blame for 9/11 rests squarely at their door. 9 months is a long time to be in office, certainly plenty of time to uncover such a plot. The real question is: Did they "just let 9/11 happen" for selfish political purposes like reelections and global oil politics. That seems to be to be the most likely explanation for why 9/11 did occur on Bush's watch.
