I think people get hung up on the 200K number. Under the Kerry proposal, if you make 201K, you get taxed on the first 200K with the tax cuts in place, and the last 1K with the tax cuts repealed.

For someone making 201K, the difference between the Kerry and Bush plans is $50 or so.
