nobody would be complaining if Bush didn't run up the largest deficit in history in only 3 years. It doesn't matter what the literal definition of "rich" is, until we get this mess that Bush has caused cleaned up. And that probably means higher corp and high net worth individual taxes to start with, as well as *major* cuts in Bush pork programs for smokestack industries (his favorite corporate charity).

When we get the budget back to where it was before the Bush damage, THEN we can talk about who is rich and who isn't rich, until then it is an academic exercise.

The point is the top 1% need to start paying off the Bush deficits. After all they benefitted the most from the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy. Bottomline, the country couldn't afford it. We also need to cut wasteful spending, starting with the top of the line items like nuclear weapons and huge subsidies for corporations
