Bush is the real protectionist, but he is protecting profits, not jobs. Kerry is more of a free trader, but Kerry wants the appropriate programs for displaced workers (that Bush ignores). It is ironic that people perceive Bush as "free trade" and Kerry as "protectionist". Oh well ...
