Elmat, it is true, job hopping is a fashion now in China, but only for those who can afford.

Even for the Chinese here in the US, school-hopping, or job hopping is very popular. Nonetheless, it is actually a big minus in the eyes of universities and employers.

One of the major factors for university ranking in the US is how many PhDs a department has graduated. And plenty of Chinese transfer to some very best universities from some less renown universities after their master degree, so they actually used those universities as spring board, which makes those universities very mad.

About job hopping, one friend of mine here was really fond of it, switching 4 jobs in <3 years, got higher and higher pay of course, but then the company started to downsize, and she was the 1st bunch to let go<g>

Although in China, job hopping has less negative consequences compared to the US. The health insurance can be taken as you go in the same city in most of cases.
