I can agree that threads should not be attacking other posters per se. I also believe that aliases should not take the names of real persons. SI probably needs to address this issue.

Will they allow a name to be, for example, "John Kerry is a commie" as a name?

How about "Arafat smells funny?" How about, "Belgian posters are Nazis?"

All the above is offensive. Laura Bush - as first lady has been about as low key as any I can remember. She deserves to be left alone. Someone taking her name to demean her is just as offensive as a thread that attacks a poster in my opinion.

From what I've seen of the SI poster to whom you refer, he/she/it seems to say little and attacks often, then cries when he/she/it perceives to be the subject of a contra attack.

Just my opinion.....
