It flies in the face of my view of what makes Christianity a vital force in people's lives. For me, Christianity is the deep belief in God's love and forgiveness. IMO, Christ's life was God's gift to humanity in that vein, so it's the 34 years of His life and teaching that has the greatest 'weight' for me. And yes, the last 12 hours of His life is a part, but a small part.

Edit: I feel very strongly that subjecting children to this is potentially injurious.

It's amazing to me how much criticism there is of people who have never seen it. But I guess they're the kind of people who generally like to let other people make up their minds for them.
