Yes. In my judgment, adults have extremely bad judgment if they take children to movies containing protracted torture of various illustrated sorts including beating, flaying, nailing, stabbing and, naturally, a great deal of dripping, oozing and gushing blood. I'm going to see it this weekend. From everything I've read, I expect it to be a moving and enjoyable experience. I'm positive it will be 'moving'. How could it not move one to watch a sympathetic character moan as he is tormented for a couple of hours, being "pounded, kicked, flayed, mutilated and bled like an animal," not to mention having his skin gleefully ripped with a cat o' nine tails (hooks and blades attached the better to rip the flesh). With his mother watching. But as to "enjoyable"... I hope that after you've seen it, you'll report to us on how 'enjoyable' you found it. Also, will you share with us whether in your judgment it's an appropriate movie for taking children to? (I know that some people think there's nothing it's wrong to expose children to in movies.
