Hi G, I use FA as a tonic for being a long term investor. As a long term investor I hate taking profits prematurely - only to pay Uncle Sam his share of taxes. I also have an extremely hard time buying back a stock at 15 after I've sold it at 30 with an original cost of 8.I keep remembering how cheap it used to be.These are my idiosincrisies that I have learned about myself over years of trading. This is the week before options expiration and Da Chief has taught me to expect a lot of volatility doring this repositioning time period. I've sold some January 12.50 Oracle puts today @ 1.60.I also have some March 12.50 Oracle puts expiring next week Friday I sold them at 1.50. I'm actually surprised that the price has dipped below 12.50.I wanted to buy them at the adjusted cost of 11.00 and now maybe I'll get them.Oracle announces earnings AH on Thursday-if good that will drive them above 12.50 - if not I'll add them to my accumulation of existing Oracle. The Peoplesoft merger has stalled this bluechipper.They've remained profitable all the way. I also sold some May Cohu puts (20's) at 2.25.This would be like buying Cohu at 17.75.I'm ok with that purchase as well. Looks like I could have done a little closer to 3.25 according to the bid and ask - but I never said I was so good ,I could nail it within .50. This decline is causing a lot of pain for those who weren't buying the dips back in 02.I think it is a good add to spot. Gulp It is never easy. Bob
