<<The economy has suffered a lot of damage in the past three years, but I don't think it's irrevocably harmed yet.>>

Well, it's been harmed pretty damned bad since end of 99, and if things get as bad as it looks like it will get, it's going to be very ugly out there.......Another major crash in the equities market and many people are going to swear off equities for good. Yes, I know history dictates that we will have major corrections, but the overall long term trend and best place for your money has been equities...but that is past history and no guarantee of the future. Todays world is so vastly different then just 10 years ago it is ridiculous, and I dont think we can look any longer at past precedents as to what the future holds. I hate being so psssimistic, as I am a bull at heart, but it is hard to ignore the reality of things and the reality of things is the economy sucks, the world has serious problems and there just isn't much good to dwell on out there......and yes, I do think another major fall in equities will do irrevocable harm......and that looks like exactly what we are going to get....
