Muslims claim that they worship the same God as Christians, and Jews, do. If their God tells them to kill all infidels, and will reward them with 72 virgins if they die in the Islamic Jihad, then the Koran writes of a much different God than the Bible does. We all worship the God of Abraham. Just as in the history of Christianity, sometimes incorrect interpretations are made regarding the Word of God, IMO.
